Natural Beauty Salon // Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub (Review)

Lush Lip Scrub 6

Hallelujah, I finally found a solution to my everlasting dry lips! Although I am blessed with full lips, I actually suffer from dry and chapped lips all year long. Very annoying, because next to the fact that it is painful, I also never wear lipstick because of it. My lips are naturally pretty red and I think it’s often better if they are slightly a softer color. With a beautiful lipstick I can easily achieve this effect, but lipstick on dry lips is very uncomfortable and not very flattering. With the Popcorn Lip Scrub from Lush I finally have soft and moisturized lips.

Like all products from Lush, the Lip Scrub looks very appealing. The glass jar is compact and can easily be put in your bag. The Lip Scrub comes in different flavours, I opted for the popcorn flavor.

On the packaging you can see what’s in the scrub. The taste of popcorn is mimicked in this scrub with brown sugar, sea salt coconut oil. In addition, there is jojoba oil, palenta, popping candy and flavoring in the scrub. I have my doubts with the latter two ingredients, however: you “eat” such a small amount of the scrub, it doesn’t really seem something to really worry about. At the bottom of the pot you can see by whom the scrub is made and until when it will last.

You use the scrub by rubbing a little on your lips and gently massaging it on your lips. The good thing about the scrub is that you can lick it off right away. The taste indeed has something popcorn about it; a combination of sweet and salty. The scrub leaves a thin layer of oil on your lips behind, making them well hydrated.

I can honestly say I‘m a big fan of this lip scrub! No more fumbling with homemade scrubs and hot flannels to get the skins from my lips. I’ve used the scrub a few times a week and my lips have not been dry ever since. You can buy the scrub for € 9.65, in one of the Lush shops or in the webshop.

Have you tried the lipscrub from Lush? What did you think?
